Wow. This jacket is incredible. The first thing I noticed was its weight when I took it out of the box. The second was how well this jacket is made - quality zippers, wind and rain proof seams, multiple fit adjusters, and the included armour. For the first ride, I took out the waterproof and thermal liner. It was 25 °, so I opened the four chest vents and the sleeve vents for some fresh air. I didn't even try the drop down back vent panel yet. When I got into the shade, a quick zip up and toasty warm again. The next time, I did use the back vent and, wow, again. Just went for a ride in the overcast, chilly wet weather with both liners in. I was toasty with just a T shirt under the jacket. I have been riding foremost 40 years and this jacket stands out. I shopped around for several weeks before stumbling on Griffin's website. Best stumble ever. They are a Canadian company, to boot. I mean, for $420, this jacket is hands down, the best buy out there! As soon as I have the means, I am getting some Griffin pants, even though I already have pants. Very pleased.
I don't want to give a positive review of this jacket, because more people will buy it and I will not stand out as much as I do now. But I have to be honest, this is the best damn motorcycle jacket I have ever owned. It is multifunctional, it's 4 season and it looks so damn good! I rode last week and the trip started out sunny, so I had all the vents open. Then clouds rolled in and the temperature dropped, so I closed the vents and zipped in the liner. Then more clouds and a damn rain storm hit. Pulled in under shelter and zipped in the waterproof layer and finished my ride. I was comfortable and cozy the whole time. Welcome to riding in northern Ontario. I get constant compliments on its look and fit and I feel safe with the armour in the shoulders, arms and back. I love this jacket. If I could, I'd buy the one in black just to have 2 lol! First jacket I've owned that I think is WELL worth the cost. Buy this jacket! Just get the black one so I still stand out with my Olive one :).
